Perfect

Perfect hotel, nice clean rooms, good bathroom
Very friendly staff. We left early in the morning and they maked some good lunch packages for us.
Good prices.
Location is good, 15 min walk to the city center

Corresponds to a 1 star hotel and more.

Very strong smell of smoke in the rooms. Bad smell from the air conditioning. Bedroom door and handle broken. Very dim light in the toilets. Shower but without curtain or box, impossible not to get everything wet. External structure not very beautiful.
Friendly staff. Albanian breakfast ok.

Owner abuses stray animals. Don't go here if you like animals.

I would certainly have given Hotel Bicaj in Skoder 4 or even 5 stars because of the spacious room, the good breakfast, the helpful employees and the private parking space in front of the hotel.
Yet this hotel gets 2 stars because of a very bad experience I had here. After a street dog walked into the driveway of the hotel with no intention of harm, the hotel owner knocked the dog off the premises with a stick, and the animal ran away screaming. I found the dog later; it was bleeding due to the mistreatment of its owner.
*If you are an animal lover, do not book this hotel. This owner needs to learn that this is not okay, and that tourists certainly don't want to see this!*

It complies, without further ado... it's not a big deal either.

We went to this hotel to spend the night before leaving for Valbona, we only went to sleep, and for breakfast they gave us a picnic to get us back to normal.
The hotel is not much, don't expect great...the staff is quite attentive.
And they allow you to leave your backpacks or car there without paying anything if you are going to spend a few days in Valbona-Theth.

Safe biker's oasis in Shkoder

Nice little B&B in Shkoder, with a safe (24/7 guarded) parking for motorcycles. Very welcome and reassuring for bikers passing through NW Albania and looking for a safe place to stay (and park) for the night. Rooms are okay and clean. Price is very reasonable.
