A true old fashioned pub stay that transports you back in time

I couldn’t wait to stay at an old (150 years) hotel in S.A. and tick this off my ‘bucket’ list. We were assisted my Adam when we arrived, who ran through some of the history of the pub and made us feel very welcome. We then climbed up the stairs and were taken to our room. I was delighted with the feeling and the ambiance of this upstairs floor, plus the walk down the corridor to use the toilet/bathroom facilities was exactly what the last 150 years of guests had to do too. No ghost sightings but if you want to live history for a day or two, consider the Cornwall hotel,at Moonta.

Disappointing dinner

Looks great from the outside... nicely refurbished on the inside ... but the Bistro food & service was disappointing. Food was below average. Menu quite limited.
They didn’t have any of the first two wines we asked for from the wine list ... sorry, but wouldn’t recommend.

Great Hotel

Great little hotel. The bar person (girl) was under the pump at meal time but she did it with ease and with a smile on her face. The bar and meal prices were good. The pub is doing well with keeping modern and old.

Very enjoyable experience

We had a pub lunch here with our dog and was very welcomed by the friendly staff, great service, thank you. Very much enjoyed the meal and the full veg/salad bar, what a perfect place to relax for a drink or two.

Fabulous Meal

Stopped by here for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. Attractive old hotel, being beautifully renovated. The Service was very friendly. The Meal was well priced and seriously enjoyable. Didn’t have to wait long, and the serve yourself Salad bar was quite extensive. Highly recommended.
