The Rumer Hof is a 4-star hotel situated 1 km away from Rum's centre, and 5 km each from Innsbruck and Hall in Tirol. The restaurant serves traditional Tyrolean cuisine and international dishes.

The room was lovely and cosy. Very powerful shower! The hotel is in an excellent location for public transport. 2 minute walk to the train station and you are in Innsbruck main town centre in 6 minutes! Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again in the future.

Overall, a good hotel in Innsbruck to spend a few nights. Stayed here as a couple for 1 night. My observations:
1. The room is very nice - good sized, well furnished, beautiful.
2. The breakfast is pretty good too - decent spread, good quality.
3. The location is Ok - 10 min by train or bus to the central Innsbruck. However, it is in an industrial area, so no dining options nearby (except a McDonald).
Now, the not-so-good parts.
1. The Reception staff is seriously incompetent. Will spare writing the details of my interaction with them, but suffice to say that they can be the reason for not staying at this hotel again.
2. You HAVE to come to the hotel between 3-9 PM on your first day of stay to get the keys. No other working options!! (This is something they don't mention when you book)

Avoid
We are extremely disappointed with our stay at this hotel.
We booked and paid for an air-conditioned room over three months in advance, expecting to receive exactly what we had reserved. However, when we arrived after a 6-hour drive, we were told that all the air-conditioned rooms had been taken and were given a different room instead. This is completely unacceptable, especially considering we had already paid a premium for the room we booked.
The outside temperature was over 31°C, making the room very uncomfortable. When we raised the issue, the receptionist was unhelpful, showed very poor customer service, and simply told us there was nothing they could do. There was no supervisor available and no genuine effort was made to resolve the situation or offer any alternative.
To make matters worse, the hotel’s website advertises “fast Wi-Fi,” but the internet connection was so poor that we could barely browse the web.
Overall, this experience felt misleading and unprofessional. If the hotel cannot honour confirmed bookings made months in advance, it should not advertise rooms that it cannot guarantee. Based on our experience, I would not recommend staying here and would advise others to look elsewhere.
