Perfectly successful family vacation
Dear Family Nikolasch,
we had an all-around perfect stay! Right from check-in, we were warmly welcomed and felt immediately at home. The room was clean and offered a breathtaking view of the lake. We would especially like to highlight the breakfast – fresh, diverse, and prepared with a lot of love. The entire team was always helpful and accommodating. We can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel!

Come and feel very comfortable!
You just feel comfortable, the hosts very warm, the staff tried, friendly, actually family.
Very clean, well maintained, with great location and lake view.
The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired, even who likes a sparkling wine breakfast, the rooms spacious, clean, with everything you need!

Good Fall , Winter and Spring overnight stay along the Millstättersee .
Hotel location really great along the
Bicycle trail around the Millstättersee . Very good inside secure bicycle storage . Owner /manager very helpful and friendly .
Room 108 had great view and nice balcony along the busy highway but to keep room cool the door had to kept open which was a problem due to road noise all day and night as well . No A/C nor fan available. In the summer this would be a major deterrent to a pleasant stay .
Walking distance to many good restaurants as well as a large market .
No coffee/tea availability in room .
The breakfast was very good with a plethora of great food choices .
Biggest problem was absolutely horrible WiFi reception in our room :
Had to leave room , go down to lobby to get any signal . This may have been a problem unique to our room but was a real hassle .
The pro’s did not overwhelm the con’s and probably would not stay here again .

Nice family run hotel.
Family-run hotel run by a very nice and helpful family. Good, adequate breakfast, beautiful gardens and the hotel's own bathing area 3 minutes away.
The rooms with a lake view unfortunately face the main road and because our balcony door was broken, we couldn't close it completely and it was quite loud from the trucks driving past.
What was really great was the portable radio on the TV in the room. I'd love to go back again but this time with a room at the back.

Old charm in need of a facelift, just made it to 3 stars
On the plus side, the hotel entrance and terrace are quite attractive and charming, which gives a good first impression. Parking was easy. The breakfast is extensive and would suit different tastes, and taking it on the terrace on a warm day is a big plus. The hotel is in close proximity to the center of town and to the lac side (but overlooking the main road, which in this area is probably unavoidable) so a good location.
On the negative side, the overall state of the room we had on the first floor was clearly tired. The furniture is old and not attractive, the pillows on the bed were substandard, the bathroom was abysmally small and in need of a complete revamp.
Advice to the owners: invest in bringing this lovely hotel up to standard to bring it back to what was certainly its former glory: renovate, revamp and redecorate. This will make the price of the room more correct.Show less
