Culture and culinary arts
We have already been to the sports hotel for the 4th time, as we appreciate the cultural offerings in Reichenau and at the Semmering.
The hotel also offers excellent gastronomy with very attentive service.
The location of the hotel is unique. "20 Schilling note view"! The crisp mountain air!
The indoor pool, including the sauna and steam room, is ideal after wonderful hikes.
We will be back!!

Most uncooperative reception in long , male and female!
There are only bathrobes in one standard size !
Pick up at reception !
Swimming pool 3 times in demand !
Opens at 13.00 , no tomorrow at 9.00 , but not or next day ??

Destroy the whole, good impression!
It would be time for management to crack down!!

Price-performance ratio does not fit here
Old hotel with ups and downs. Breakfast and coffee are OK. The restaurant claims to be a gourmet restaurant, but it is not! I cannot judge the half-board, as I only ate the gourmet menu. Room too small for a 4-star hotel. For the same price, you can also live quite differently in Austria. When it comes to pricing, they simply rely on the limited accommodation options at the Semmering.

Rather dated furnishings, no bar, poorly mounted TV.

loved, the reception staff was helpful and the hotel was thought through and welcoming
Sporthotel am Semmering was a very pleasant experience in Austria. It was our first time visiting, and we surely plan on coming back next season.
We stayed over the course of the weekend and we really enjoyed every minute of it. The hotel provides many facilities, for example: two types of saunas, a pool area and a very well-equipped gym.
Furthermore, the hotel was very well situated and the distance from the hotel to the slope was only about 3 minutes.
The hotel's breakfast was one of the many things that made our stay even more pleasant. The food was adapted for locals and we found the dining area calm, clean and organised.
Additionally, the rooms were renovated and the entire place was visibly polished and smelled very nice.
Most importantly, the reception staff was very kind. I actually left my pencil case in the room we stayed at and we sent a message to the hotel and they replied with being more than happy to send us the pencil case. That we did not expect and we were very excited to hear that they found it and that they even shipped it to us.
We really appreciated this hotel's services.
