Small, luxury gem in the heart of Brussels
What an absolutely wonderful experience my family experienced spending 6 nights at Faubourg 21 in Brussels.
From the moment we were welcomed into the doors of this impeccably restored boutique hotel, we immediately felt this was an establishment who have invested in both the infrastructure and experience.
Words could not describe how beautifully the hotel restoration has been executed, rarely would you see such high end design and finishes in a small, intimate hotel. We were fortunate to be upgraded to the Faubourg Suite (we booked the Heloise Suite) and were blown away with the design, functionality and comfort. You truly need to visit this hotel to understand. My daughter's were staying in a Deluxe room which was equally beautiful in its design, just on a smaller scale.
Jodie, the Hotel Manager, provided exceptional service from the moment I contacted the hotel over the phone to ensure my daughter's rooms would be close to mine. Throughout our stay she, and the other members of staff (I wish I could name everyone), continued to assist my family with any request we would put forward..
The team provided excellent restaurant recommendations, attended to our requests within a timely manner, and always made us feel like we were never too much trouble. We also used the Valet service which was so convenient given the difficulty parking in Brussels.
Breakfast in the hotel was delicious, especially the croissants and French toast, possibly the best I have ever eaten. We also enjoyed an evening drink in the bar each night, and the cocktails were innovative and absolutely delicious, Amar was an absolute gem and we thoroughly enjoyed his company.
The entire family agreed we would 100% stay at Faubourg 21 should we have the chance to return to Brussels. Skip the big hotel chains and put this small luxury hotel on your list.

Exception Ambience and great food let down by poor service
The ambience is exceptional and the food at breakfast was executed very well. However, the hotel was severely let down by often no-existent service. For example, at check out, I called repeatedly over ten minutes for help with my bags; no one answered. When I went down to the desk, the person anttending seemed confused and he lacked customer service skills and warmth.
And during the breakfast, the waitress could not understand English. I respect that English is not the main language in Brussels; nevertheless, for in five-start hotels of this standard, the expectation is for English speaking staff.
This hotel has the potential to be amazing, but its service quality first needs to match the high standard of its ambience and food.

A beautiful stay
Faubourg 21 was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The breakfast felt truly exceptional, almost like dining in a Michelin-level restaurant, with outstanding quality and presentation. The room was beautiful, very comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, and the location was also excellent for exploring the city. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I would happily return.

Business solo traveller - very happy
I spent 2 days in Faubourg 21 and found my new absolute favourite place to stay when I am in Brussels.
The room was faboluos, the reception lovely and personalized, breakfast was perfect, and my only sadness is I had no time to use the spa.
The hotel is also in a very central location, close to every public transport imaginable, but, noise is so unnoticeable I forgot I was in the middle of the city.
The melatonin gummie left on my pillow helped me feel really cared for, and sleep even better.
And on top of this, the hotel looks like a work of art, the design is impeccable, a feast for the eyes.
