Amazing staff member
The hotel was fine and the rooms were comfortable although the air con was extremely inefficient and we spent a hot and uncomfortable night, realising in the morning that we would have been cooler if we'd opened the window!
However, what made our stay so memorable was the chap who was on night duty at reception on the 5th/6th July. Unfortunately I didn't get his name but he couldn't have been more helpful, organising a taxi, a wake up call and a picnic breakfast as we were up for the flight too early for the restaurant. When we discovered that we couldn't have an evening meal in the hotel restaurant (which apparently doesn't actually belong to the hotel), he suggested a couple of options and when we decided to get a Domino's takeaway he helped us pick from the menu on his computer and then ordered it for us on his account. He was an absolute star and I hope his bosses read this review.

Air conditioning
Stayed the night before flight home checked in dropped bags taxi into city centre. Temperature in Bulgaria between 27 to 30 degrees. Got into room turn on air conditioning and it won't move from 24.5 degrees, I went to reception to ask them to sort it out and was told it was a problem with the main unit. But it is an unlinked self standing unit I told her, to which she quickly changed the subject to didn't they tell you when checking in about it. No because I wouldn't be stupid enough to check in if they had. Wife got no sleep and I got bent earhole for the rest of the day. Breakfast was poor but the hotel would have been ok had the aircon worked and the staff had a better attitude

Nice hotel
The hotel is located near the airport (approximately 5 km).
The hotel is nice and it comes with included breakfast and free parking.
The rooms were clean and the staff was helpful.

The best we tried in Bulgaria (and Romania)
As some wrote: it doesn't look like much but the rooms are really nice, air conditioning was working and the shower base was not leaking! I really liked the way the bathroom was divided in 3 parts: main was with washbasin, on the left was room with shower and on the right toilet, so 2 people can use different parts simultaneously :).
Food was also nice.

Good choice to visit Sofia by car
Clean hotel, with breakfast included and free parking. Price very cheap. From the hotel you can get the bus to visit Sofia. The only problem is to find a kiosk to buy the tickets. Good to know: the line 1 trolleybus is circular and give you the possibility to acced to the different zones of the city centre.
