♪ Let it go ♪

This hotel is located on the edge of the Edea road weigh station, which is frequented by many trucks. We stayed 3 nights in a suite. It is spacious, well equipped and clean. On the other hand, there is a lack of maintenance, especially in the ushers (doors that lock poorly) and sanitary facilities. There was no hot water and cold water flowed into one a thin net, which is not convenient to take a shower! Wi-Fi does not work in the rooms but only at the reception. Breakfast is more than spartan: no juice, no fruit and only an omelet (with sardine or without). By insisting, we were able to have bread and some butter to accompany the coffee. We ate a properly prepared DG chicken at the restaurant which offers a limited number of dishes. The staff is barely correct and moderately efficient.

Oasis of comfort

MICOTEL was a lovely, cool and quiet place to rest after a day of travel and sight-seeing. It has it's own generator, so continued to have A/C when part of the town did not. Free wi-fi. Great Service. Nice, clean room, recently renovated. Beautiful pool to swim in, elegant restaurant, breakfast included. Walking distance to the N3 main road from Yaounde to Edea. Micotel offers a range of rooms - we stayed in the "Standard" which is their smallest room, including a double bed, very nice.

clean restaurant with friendly staff

We didn't stay at the Micotel but we had diner in the restaurant The Gorilla and went for a swim in the swimmingpool. The swimmingpool is ok and you can have a drink and enjoy the sun.(you pay 2000 Cfa for an adult and 500 for a child)
