Featuring an indoor pool and hot tub and serving breakfast in their Silverwater Grill restaurant. Chateau Jasper is located in Jasper National Park, only 13 minutes' drive from the Jasper Tramway and 45 minutes from Maligne Lake.

Excellent
Can’t believe the negative reviews.
Firstly - very good sized rooms. Appreciate the two double beds.

Memorable for the wrong reasons
When paying over $600 per night, one naturally expects substantially more than the bare minimum, yet this stay fell remarkably short on nearly every front. At this premium rate, not even basic breakfast is included, and there was no housekeeping service whatsoever during the stay. The staff appeared sullen and managed only the barest veneer of superficial politeness.
The room itself was in serious need of refurbishment. It faced directly onto the street, where music—likely blaring from a television—droned on relentlessly through our entire first night until 6:00 AM. To make matters worse, the windows could not be opened as the latches were broken. The interior condition was equally unacceptable: the carpet was loose, visibly dirty, and the bathroom sink arrived completely blocked.
We reported these maintenance and cleanliness issues on the first morning. While the blocked sink was eventually cleared, nothing else was addressed. The promised vacuuming of the dirty carpet never happened, and having the beds made was evidently far too much to ask.
Is it really too much to ask for basic value for money these days? Jasper has undoubtedly endured devastating hardship with the wildfire, but that cannot serve as an open license to rip off visitors who travel here to support the local economy.
This stay was a memorable start to our trip for all the wrong reasons. I will be submitting a formal review and complaint to the Better Business Bureau (Serving Central & Northern Alberta) so they are aware of the impression currently being created by accommodation businesses in this region.

Front desk in need of training
Great location and surrounding Beauty.. welcome at the hotel was underwhelming. We were checked in by a young man called Patrick who appeared not to have had any customer service training, had an unfortunate attitude. He advised us that we had to change rooms after first night, did not offer any apology or compensation, he then directed us to our rooms on be ground/ first floor but did not really explain how to get to them with our substantial luggage and no signs of a porter. We asked to speak to the manager on countless occasions but he was always unavailable or maybe just avoiding us. In our experience of travelling around the world the manager would contact your room to discuss any issues. Remainder of the staff and service was very good . But thumbs down to Patrick and the manager who was on duty. Restaurant staff in particular were lovely.

Good hotel in Jasper
We had two nights at Chateau Jasper and it was a pleasant experience. The hotel is perhaps a little old-fashioned but nonetheless comfortable, clean and a decent place to stay. Our room was spacious with plenty of storage. A few more electric sockets would have been useful. The bathroom was good. The receptionist was very pleasant.
It is about 15 minutes walk from the centre of the town.
On our first evening we were delayed on our return form a tour and so arrived back only five minutes before the restaurant was due to close at 9pm. They let us in and we had a very nice meal which we really appreciated. Breakfast the next morning was an excellent buffet.
There is plenty of parking around the hotel (and an underground car park which we did not use).

Perfect stay!
Far exceeded our expectations after some of the not so positive reviews. We stayed 2 nights. Parking free and easy on-site. Room was so well laid out and appointed. Separate sink area with the coffee maker, tea kettle, microwave and frig and easy access to get in and out of the safe. Water pressure great in shower and the most comfortable beds. Clean and great value and only 15 min walk to center of town.
