Perfect location
New hotel with a perfect location on the Marina. Taking breakfast every day with the phenomenal view that the hotel offers is simply wonderful.
Super friendly staff and careful cleaning every day.
Good breakfast.

Good hotel
We chose this hotel because we arrived with the ferry and we left the airport the next day. Enjoying the best hotel reviews in the city, we stayed only one night in the hotel.
The room was very large with a balcony overlooking the pool on the ground floor, located in the floors as requested, quiet.
The bedding was comfortable and the bathroom was functional. However, the shower drain was blocked and without the towels, there would have been a flood directly in the room.
Breakfast, served self-service on the 6th floor was rich and varied with local products. The staff was nice, spoke English. They called us a taxi for the next day transfer to the airport, for 1300 CVE. There is a swimming pool on the 6th floor, a gym also. There are also several restaurants, a bar.
The hotel is overall pretty, ideally located, close to the laginha beach and the city center where restaurants and ferry are located. Perhaps we should refresh a little the decoration and painting of the room. Good value for money.

Great hotel for visiting the city of Mindelo and within walking distance of the port.
Great hotel. A 5-minute walk from the port. If you want to take the ferry to Santa Antao it is best to buy the boat tickets here 1 day in advance then you do not have to wait in line. There are 2 airlines. They are the same price, only the times differ. The crossing takes 1 hour.
The hotel has large rooms (we had 219). It's clean. It's clean. The swimming pool is reasonable but somewhat unsociable in a courtyard. But if you go to the 6th floor you have a beautiful pool on the roof. The staff is very friendly.
It says there's a spa but it was closed.
The hotel has restaurant Americas. A fine restaurant but if you order tuna you have to indicate very clearly that it should not be completely cooked. Try the delicious wine Cha from the island of Fogo.

Highly recommended, top location, and excellent service!
Certainly one of the best hotels in Mindelo, in the best location to the city, the harbor, and Laginha Beach. Very attentive and friendly service, wonderful harbor/sea view from the room, the breakfast terrace, and the restaurant. Rooms are very spacious, well-equipped, and very clean!! Excellent restaurant!

3 out of 5 — Stunning view but several issues
Our room was spacious with a stunning harbour view, which was the main redeeming feature of our stay. Unfortunately, there appeared to be hidden broken pipes causing a strong sewage smell, which became unbearable whenever the bathroom light/ventilator was switched on. Management were largely unresponsive and unable to resolve it. We were offered another room, but it was smaller, darker, and with almost no view, so we declined.
The “private pool” advertised for our room was just a tiny tub with dirty water and no Jacuzzi function, and the shower water was only tepid. The excessive firmness of the mattress and pillows made the bed uncomfortable and significantly affected my sleep. Breakfast was mediocre and mass-produced, with no freshly cooked eggs. Only sweetened fruit or vanilla yoghurt was available (no plain natural yoghurt), the cheese was tasteless, and staff refused simple requests such as an apple, a kiwi or salad. Food was not replenished and the buffet was cleared away sharply on time. Towels were flimsy, toiletries were basic but acceptable, and housekeeping was inconsistent and often unresponsive. The hotel only provided 1–2 bottles of drinking water per day, which meant we had to go out to a supermarket to purchase additional water.
On the positive side, LAUREN was outstanding – she booked us a restaurant on arrival, secured us a table at the fully booked New Year’s Eve hotel party, found me a hairdresser at the very last minute, and connected us with an excellent and knowledgeable tour agent, Nani West. The NYE party and fireworks were very enjoyable and we met lovely, interesting guests. The owners also tried to make up for the issues by sending a bottle of wine and a fruit plate the following morning.
The rooftop pool area is mainly used for breakfast, with sunbeds piled on top of each other and no real space to sunbathe. The other central swimming pool behind reception is noisy, not relaxing, and there is no service at all.
Overall, although this hotel is considered one of the best in São Vicente, I would not return. I would rather stay at the Sheraton when it opens
