Could be amazing
Great potential but maybe there's no tourist market for it. Very well located on the Plaza de Armas side of the tracks near shopping, restaurants, but still close to the bus stations back on the other side. Apparently the hostel was full, but no one seemed to hang out in the large lounge area or around the pool. Even the owner. He had town maps and some excellent brochures available on a table in the lounge, but I couldn't help thinking he could advertise tours of the wineries or out to Siete Tazas. Or had some music and a bar around the pool. Maybe he did in the past and found it didn't work. My private room was fine in all respects except for the cold shower. I tended to shower in the early evening after a hot day out so I didn't mind so much but still...

Gran amabilidad
El lugar está bien ubicado en la zona céntrica de Talca, tiene estacionamiento funcional, las habitaciones son de casa antigua muy limpias y el desayuno es bien servido y rico aunque básico por los elementos que disponen.

Auf keinen Fall!
Das Hostel liegt, laut dem Reiseguide in einer gefährlichen Gegend. Wir hatten in 2 Nächten allerdings kein Problem. Am ersten Abend, nach dem einchecken, hat auf das klingeln keiner aufgemacht. Wir konnten aber das Hauptschloss selber öffnen. Die Zimmerschlüssel hängen frei zugänglich für jeden greifbar im Eingangsbereich.
Am ersten Tag hatten wir kein warmes Wasser, das Fixleintuch im Zimmer war mit Staub übersät und die Wolldecken hatten riesige Brandlöcher! Die Steckdose im Zimmer sprüte Funken als ich das Ladegerät eingesteckt habe.
Am letzten Tag konnten wir das Gepäck im Zimmer lassen, da wir ein Ausflug unternommen haben. Als wir zurückkahmen wollte er für die 5 Stunden noch extra Geld dafür, obwohl der Besitzer gesagt hat, es sei in Ordnung. Alles in allem haben wir den Aufenthalt nicht genossen und ich empfehle das Hostel niemandem.
