Good location, nice rooms, beautiful city.
We stayed for three nights along with our friends. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Well maintained and reasonable facilities. The location is excellent, both for exploring the city, and being dropped off by a taxi.
The only things that stopped me giving a five star rating were the initial difficulty in locating the premises and the getting into the rooms.
The entrance to the building, at least when we arrived had no signs indicating the rooms were within. Some signs did appear during our stay but it still didn’t clearly indicate the name of the rooms. Also don’t be put off by the unwelcoming feel to the hallway and stairs, they are not an indication of the quality of the accommodation.
Secondly, I would suggest the owner’s provide a brief “idiots guide” to visitors on how to locate the premises and then use the wall safes to obtain the keys and then how they provide access to breakfast for those who have taken that option.
That being said we had a fantastic time. Again the location is great, the breakfast is provided at Bokeria kitchen and wine bar, a short walk away, and was lovely. Great food and great service.

Bernardi Rooms Old Town Split
The first impression we had when walking into the Bernardi Rooms were ‘Wow this is nice’. This was before we discovered how central the accommodation was to everything in Old Town. As Split Old Town is a UNESCO heritage site no elevators can be installed in any of the older buildings so be prepared for a lot of steps. The rooms were exceptionally clean and well maintained surrounded by restaurants and bars and everything could be reached by walking. The only restriction being no cars are able to access Old Town so transfers to airports buses or taxis needed to have a pre arranged meeting place which may involve a bit of walking.

Great room, great location, great host
My girlfriend and I spent 5 nights in Split for a quick getaway before the winter comes.
The Bernardi Rooms is located perfectly, just outside of the Golden Gate entrance to the palace. The room was modern, spacious and had everything we needed. The room even had a small fridge, which was filled with 2 bottles of water as well as 2 cans of beer free of charge. The bathroom were modern as well and had free soaps and shower gel/shampoo. The beds were comfy.
Since these rooms are located in the middle of everything, it can get abit noisy if you leave your windows open, however if they are closed, you basically hear nothing. The is also an air conditioner, which worked perfectly fine and was not too noisy.
The only improvement from our side we could suggest, would be the safe. There is a small safe in the wardrobe, however it is not attached to anything. And since the safe is pretty small, it can be taken away easily. Maybe attach it to the wall to make it more secure.
All in all, this was the best place we could've stayed, since the location was amazing. We felt very safe, even at nights.
But what made it stand out even more was the host Andrijana. As these rooms are located in a car free zone, she even picked us up from the main street where our taxi dropped us off and brought us to the rooms. She was very helpful and kind.
She showed us the best places on the map and everything else we needed to know.
She made our stay here even better than expected. Such a good host makes you feel very welcome. Thank you very much for this.

A great end to our honeymoon adventure
We stayed at the Bernardi Rooms on the final leg of our Honeymoon trip to Croatia. The apartment was easy to find and placed perfectly to explore the old town. We received a very warm welcome and were given some useful information about the town. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely return. The room was very clean and care had been taken on the decor. The only minor comment would be that the corridor was a little noisy when other guests came and went and talked outside the room but it wouldn’t put us of returning again, we had a fantastic time!

Wonderful
What an incredible little find this was.
We were sceptical upon arrival as it did take us a fair amount of time to find it - in 32 degree heat - this wasn’t ideal. Anyhow, upon being greeted by the lovely Adriana we immediately were at ease. Especially when she showed us our bedroom! Wow...is all I can say. The modern touches were spectacular, whilst still maintaining its original features. It is as good as the pictures dictate. Lovely spacious bathroom with hot shower (only enough for one person though...:()
they had noted that it was our anniversary and they had given us a bottle of wine as a treat - wonderful! Also a few other treats to make us feel welcomed. The amenities are excellent, great WiFi, fruit in the morning, a safe, hairdryer etc. I would echo previous comments about storage but we managed ok for a three night stay. Beautiful view onto the streets and the park. and whilst we were just outside the palace, we couldn’t hear a wink. Super happy with our choice here. Thank you.
