Very good
I had a very nice stay, the room was lovely and the location was absolutely perfect! Everything was very well maintained. I would definitely stay here again.

Smelly rooms and sheets
The sheets were moist and smelled disgusting. I ended up getting sick my first day staying here. The rooms were musty and felt I couldn’t breathe. Bathroom sinks wouldn ’t drain properly. Showers were too small to properly shower- no shelves or rooms. I never felt clean after showering here.

We are, however, quite surprised by your review, as it does not reflect the feedback we usually receive about our establishment, and especially because none of these issues were brought to our attention during your stay.
Regarding the sheets, if they seemed damp or had an unusual smell, simply informing our reception team would have allowed us to intervene immediately and provide you with a solution. This is precisely why our team is available throughout our guests’ stay.
You also mention that the rooms were “suffocating” and that the air was unbearable. One of the features we particularly focus on is the air conditioning in our rooms. In the middle of August in Nice, we naturally recommend keeping the windows closed while the air conditioning is running in order to maintain a comfortable temperature in the dormitories.
Regarding the sinks, we take note of your comment about the drainage and will remain attentive to this point.
However, we are quite surprised by your description of the bathrooms and showers. Our bathrooms are equipped with shelves, a stool, and towel holders, allowing guests to comfortably place and organise their belongings while showering. The necessary facilities for everyday use are therefore provided.
Our showers are also individual spaces designed to be used comfortably by one person. They are not large communal showers, but their size and layout are consistent with the concept and standards of our establishment.
What we regret most is that you did not mention any of these concerns to our team during your stay. We would have been more than happy to assist you and look for solutions. We also asked you at check-out whether everything had gone well during your stay, and no issues were mentioned to us at that time.
We of course remain attentive to all guest feedback, including negative feedback, as it helps us continue to improve. However, we believe that discussing these matters directly with our team during your stay would have allowed us to address them in a much more constructive and effective way.

Good and nice hostel, a bit less social.
I have stayed in two different hostels. I noticed that Slo is super neat and clean, well arranged, etc. I just lacked some fun here, I found it less social. Staff were polite, but lacked enthusiasm. Thought the coziness of the staff and roommates in the other hostel really contributed to the experience!

Amazing and clean hostel!
Loved staying here! Staff was very welcoming and friendly, the hostel felt very clean and taken care of! Loved staying here with my friend and would definitely return!

Super nice hostel
We spent one night at the SLO Hostel Nice. A great modern hostel with very friendly staff. Everything was very clean and beautifully furnished. The location is also very centrally located.
