awesome
i love this place so much. i’ve been here twice now and i felt so comfortable and at home both times. staff are helpful and the place is clean. it can be loud at times but as a hostel i feel like it’s pretty fair. the location is great n i have a soft spot for kotti now. the roof terrace is also very lovely. i wouldn’t go anywhere else in berlin ❤️❤️❤️

Inn to avoid!!
Neighborhood that is concerning. The entrance is very poorly marked and is frightening.
The gentleman at the reception was very kind, but that is the only positive point.
We are three young girls, and we found ourselves only with older, intoxicated gentlemen. In the rooms, there were beer cans everywhere. We felt stared at.
We immediately turned back.
To be avoided!

Met some really cool people but facilities not the best
Not the nicest place but the people we met there made up for it. It felt very safe, the stuff were really good and made sure no weirdos stayed there, one guy got kicked out on arrival, and for that we were all greatfull. There was a balcony area but unfortunately it was closed, so we had to sit in the window/doorway to smoke. Great vibes, but the facilities were not the best at all. The pillows were very uncomfortable and the showers were always cold (i managed to have only one hot shower in the week I stayed there). I did however really enjoy my time.

This place really need a clean!!
We found this place very difficult to find, and the smell was overwhelmingly bad in the staircase and common room. Definitely needs more signage and a deep deep clean. The bedding was very used and dirty ( I had many stains and a hole in my sheets ), seeing as we had to pay extra for this it was very disappointing. The floor was very dusty and didn’t seem to have had a proper clean before our arrival. Our lockers didn’t work we had to return our key and try another, still leaving someone with a broken locker… obviously not ideal when trying to keep your valuables safe in a communal area. Do have to say there was a cute vibe to the place as the people staying really made the experience. However it was overlooked by the lack of cleanliness and the smell, as well as the really poor sleeping facilities.

nice but not the best
I stayed in this hostel during my interrail, it's a good hostel but there are definitely better ones.
the beds are normal bunk beds, without sockets, shelves or courtesy lights. the bathrooms and showers are clean, the common areas are very nice and comfortable and the staff was overall friendly.
the location is not the best, initially we struggled to find the entrance and in the evening we preferred not to go out, furthermore it is located far from the points of interest in Berlin.
Furthermore, upon arrival you must pay €3 to rent sheets without being able to use your own sheets or sleeping bags.
