A Quiet and Hidden Gem in the Heart of Berlin
I’ve stayed at this hotel for many years, even before it was renovated and changed its name. You have to share bathrooms and showers, but there are enough of them, I’ve never had to wait in line for either. The rooms are lovely and especially perfect during the summer when it gets hot in Berlin, as the hotel is tucked away in a quiet courtyard. There are strict quiet hours after 11:00 PM, which I really appreciate.
For anyone new considering booking, I’d say go for it, just be aware that the last personal check-in is at 6:00 PM. However, you can arrive until 11:00 PM and your key card will be waiting in a box. Definitely one of my favorite areas and hotels in Berlin.

The room was clean comfortable and warm, the beds comfortable too. He bathrooms and showers all in good condition and clean,. The sound proofing could be better and i noticed no firedoors.

I had single room. The intrerior was nice, clean and modern. I missed the short way to toilet and the possibility to switch off light from inside the bed. The surrounding was very calm and tram or bus can be reached quickly.

Top central location
The choice for Avalex was quite simple - it simply offers a top price/PERFORMANCE ratio and is located in 10 minutes walk to Alexanderplatz, where we started our exploration tour.
The rooms were basic but equipped with everything necessary. Speaking of keeping it clean, it is not saved here. Checking in after 18.00 had also been no problem. There is a friendly hotline 24/7 (including in English).

There is a shared shower and toilet, other than that everything seems great!
Location is 3 stops from Alexanderplatz, so it is well connected if you are traveling to Berlin.
