Very good
We enjoyed today the last castle tour this year. The tour was very informative and competent, we were very satisfied and learned a lot about the history of the castle. It is very extraordinary to be able to visit an inhabited private estate and to catch an insight into the well-preserved, historic chambers. A big thank you for the sovereign castle tour bilingual at the same time.

Holidays
Wonderful ambience. Very unique, fairytale is the environment. The breakfast buffet was very rich. Rooms are great and times an experience as it is something else. Lots of parking facilities. Very nice staff. Always happy.:-)

It is an old beautiful castle which in my experiences it should be a museum not a hotel, maybe a wedding or gathering outdoor.…
Its too old and the smell and the wood Oder was too strong to breathe,
The service and staff were great, beautiful breakfast in the garden.
we paid for 2 nights and arrived late but unfortunately, I couldn't stay longer we left after breakfast.

Living Like a Knight
Staying in the gate to the castle was unique. The antiques and overall atmosphere were very interesting. The room was more than spacious and well-equipped. Breakfast was amazing! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that the mattress was in need of replacing.

A Hidden Historical Bavarian Gem Off The Beaten Path!
We were travelling to Germany in late October, arriving in Munich just after Oktoberfest. Though we wanted to stay in Munich, the hotel prices were still stupidly high due to the Oktoberfest crowds. I started searching further and further outside of Munich and came across this magnificent hotel. It was just over an hour drive from the Munich Airport, but it was a nice little drive through the Bavarian countryside.
We arrived a little earlier than they opened for check-in, but Inga, the lovely hostess got a room ready for us so we could have a nap and then get ready to go out for dinner.
The hotel is located at the foot of the castle in what looks like the old gatehouse. The rooms are very interesting, low ceilings in the hallways (I'm 6'3" and I had to bend down to walk without hitting my head). Our room was on two levels and had a nice big bathroom with a deep tub and a huge bedroom with a big comfy bed. There was a sitting room with a couch and another smaller bedroom on the main floor.
Breakfast was lovely, Inga had everything set up for us with a nice selection of fresh fruit, cheese, bread and cereals. She even made us eggs.
The grounds of the hotel are quite lovely as well, a big fountain and beer garden, which I imagine they use for weddings etc.
We met the owner of the castle, a very nice man who invited us to go explore it but we never had the chance.
This would be a great hotel for couples and families with kids as there is a lot to see and do. Special thanks to Inga, for always having a big smile on her face, giggling all the time and making our stay so pleasant.
There was no wi-fi in our room and we had to go down to the lobby to get on-line - I'm not sure if they have fixed that yet - you might want to inquire.
