A small piece of peace and calmness
What a place! It has not lost it’s charm in 26 years. It’s simplicity in the best way. You have to help yourself in many ways. Codes and key handover, but still!! Up in the hill with all the small bungalows, the view and the silence! Such a place for peace and calmness. The afternoon dinner and breakfast is OK, but not much more. But it’s worth it. Visit Einbecker Sonnenberg, and you will not regret it!

Youth hostel character of the early 80s
The beautifully situated guesthouse is not for guests with walking difficulties or other physical ailments, as the individual bungalows on the steep slope can partly only be reached via stairs.
The furnishings of the bungalows are spartan. Everything is clean but just old. Especially in the bathroom, the cramped space is far from a feel-good atmosphere.
At breakfast, you should stick only to the house-produced fruit varieties. Everything else is meager and not very tasty.

Beautiful quiet place in the countryside
Positive side: Spacious and equipped bungalow, bathroom and kitchenette, access to wifi, beautiful place in the countryside, magnificent view of the valley, very quiet located a few kilometers from Einbeck.
Negative side: no breakfast when under occupancy, heating cut off for several hours at night, TV does not work, no microwave oven.

Not as good as expected
We searched for a romantic hotel in Einbeck and according to picture in Einbeck city-guide decided that tis one was best.
We wanted to stay just one night och were unprepared this was an apartment hotel. The appartment was cold when we arrived.
It was off-season (April).
Very few personal at the reception, they had to run fast to manage all things they had to do. They were nice and tried to be helpful but they really didn't have time.
Not so good food at the restaurant.
I don't think I would return here.
