Trenklehof in Simonswald is a peaceful guesthouse in the heart of the Black Forest, offering comfortable accommodations and an authentic family-run experience.
The hosts, Carmen and Marco, are warm and welcoming, and their children add to the friendly atmosphere. Guests can enjoy delicious local specialties such as beer, schnapps, cheese, and charcuterie.
The location is ideal — close to hiking trails, Freiburg, and Europapark. A perfect stay in the Black Forest — highly recommended !!

There is something for young and old
We spent 4 nights with our 2 boys at the Trenklehof. We felt totally comfortable (actually like home ) and the boys could ride the pedal tractor and the cokart as well as with the cuddly cats and rabbits.
In the apartment there is a lot of heart, coziness and creativity and great importance is placed on cleanliness. The farm also invites you to linger and enjoy being together and offers something with the numerous employment opportunities for young and old.
We really appreciated the great warmth and openness of the host family and will definitely recommend the farm or maybe even go by again.

Farm with mountain views
Trenklehof is a beautiful and authentic place. The hosts, Carmen and Marco (and their children) are lovely and create a warm atmosphere. You can see farm animals, visit Europapark (not too far away), hike in the mountains or just enjoy the lovely farm. I highly recommend Trenklehof to everyone!

Very nice and clean apartment.
Very nice helpful owners.
The location is beautiful, with nice views and many hiking trails
Nearby are nice places, where you can do some shopping.
Food and drinks always taste good, we love German cuisine.

Everything fit here!
We have been spending our holidays in the Black Forest for several years now and luckily booked a holiday apartment on the Trenklehof.
What can you say much, but here everything just fit, from the apartment, the dream location and the loving design of the farm !
But especially noteworthy is the warmth and hospitality of Marco and Carmen Wehrle as you rarely find them! To our delight, we were often surprised with small attentions in the morning, which is also not a given !
All in all, we give the full score for our holiday at Trenklehof. Conclusion: We would definitely come back!
