Mare Monte hotel is situated on Yialos Beach, a short walk from the main port of Ios. It offers a peaceful setting and beautiful views of the beach and mountains.

Brief but wonderful!
We had just two nights here at the Mare Monte hotel but will definitely return as we would like more time to explore the beautiful island of Ios. The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the port and Lambros and Katerina were waiting to welcome us. We were offered a choice of rooms, one of which had a small upper floor terrace with fabulous views of the beach. The room has everything you need and was very good value. The hotel is right on the beach and has a pool and beautifully tended gardens. Lambros was very helpful in storing our luggage ahead of our next departure as well as updating on the latest ferry times and pointing us to a useful app for ferry tracking. All in all a great stay on a beautiful island but all too brief.
So we’ll just have to come back to the Mare Monte for a longer stay - and in the same room please!

Don't stay here
Terrible. We left after one night and found somewhere else! Bed was so uncomfortable, there was no blanket, only a sheet! Pool was green and aircon so noisy

Room described, ideally situated very close to beach. Friendly and helpful staff made useful suggestions. Left bag before and afetr stay. Would definitely return.R

Perfect!
We stayed at Mare Monte for 8 days and had an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the incredibly hospitable staff. Their friendliness and helpfulness truly made a difference.
The location is perfect: just a short walk to the beach, close to great restaurants, and near several scooter rental companies, which made exploring the area super easy.
The hotel itself has a lovely pool, perfect for relaxing after a day in the sun. The only small downside was that the mattresses were a bit firm for our taste, and the douche is a little bit tiny. But that really comes down to personal preference.
All in all, we had an amazing stay and would definitely recommend Mare Monte to anyone visiting the area!
