Centrally located in Skiathos Town, family-run Babis offers a roof terrace overlooking the Aegean Sea. The hotel provides free Wi-Fi and free transfer service from and to the port and airport.

All beautiful
Beautiful room, all clean, excellent view and the shared veranda on the terrace in the evening with the incredible view that you need to take a drink with you in advance (because there is no bar on the terrace) and to park. Yota and Babis out heart served us in whatever we asked will definitely visit again.

I stayed at Babis Hotel from June 17th to June 24th.
I would like to start with the positive aspects, as it is only fair to acknowledge what was good. The complimentary airport transfer, both on arrival and departure, was very convenient and much appreciated. The room was cleaned thoroughly, with bed linen and towels changed every two days, which was an excellent service. The view over the port was also beautiful and definitely one of the hotel’s strongest points.
Unfortunately, the negative aspects had a significant impact on the overall quality of our stay.
The air conditioning is extremely old and incredibly noisy. Despite the hot weather, we were forced to switch it off every night because it was impossible to sleep with the constant noise.
The kitchenette is tiny and poorly equipped. It consists of a very small sink with two old electric hotplates attached, and there were no instructions on how to use them. The refrigerator had so much ice built up in the freezer compartment that it was practically unusable.
Although the hotel advertises rooms with kitchen facilities, the equipment provided is completely inadequate: one non-stick frying pan that was so badly worn it could not be used, two small saucepans, and a colander. There wasn’t even a simple salad bowl. When I asked the owner if one was available, her only reply was that she was out of town, without offering any alternative or solution.
Another serious issue was the bathroom, where there is a poorly visible step with no warning at all. On my first day I didn’t notice it, tripped, and broke one of my toenails. This step should be clearly marked to prevent other guests from getting injured.
Access to the hotel is also difficult, as there are several steep steps leading to the property, making it unsuitable for elderly guests or anyone with reduced mobility.
Finally, one incident was particularly disappointing. After my fall, I asked the owner if she had any hydrogen peroxide to disinfect my wound. She told me she had some at home but never brought it to me or offered any assistance. It would have taken very little to show some care and concern for a guest who had just been injured.
In conclusion, Skiathos is a beautiful island and I would happily visit again. Unfortunately, my experience at Babis Hotel did not meet my expectations. While there were some positive aspects, they were outweighed by the many shortcomings. Personally, this is not a place I would choose to stay at again, nor would I recommend it.

I had a really good week this hotel has a great Cleaning and Linen Change Service, located in the center but not in the chaos, air conditioning and a beautiful terrace overlooking the harbor,

Great views, great accomodation & great stay!
This was my first stay at Hotel Babis, having been coming to Skiathos since 1992.
I was very impressed!
I stayed in room 1 which seemed to have been recently refurbished and was lovely with stunning views from the balcony.
There was a bottle of water in the fridge and tea & coffee, which was appreciated on our late night arrival.
The mattress and pillows were thick and new.
Free air conditioning - I know some i have stayed at before have charged!
The room was clean, fresh & cleaned daily.
An added bonus was the airport pick up and drop off!
The are a few steps up to it from the port but well worth it for the views...you can walk up the back way from the town.
For what we paid for the 4 night stay, we were very impressed and will certainly stay again!
