Located in Gora, a neighborhood in Hakone, Gorakan is near a train station. Hakone Gora Park and Hakone Kowakien Yunessun are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Ōwakudani and Lake Ashi. Hakone Open Air Museum and Hakone Hot Springs are two other places to visit that come recommended. While you're here, you can enjoy all the comforts of home and more, including free WiFi and an LCD TV, as well as a toilet with electronic bidet and a detached shared bathroom. Other amenities include towels, slippers, luggage storage, and a safe.

Excellent little ryokan, appreciate the attention to detail by the staff. They were happy to accommodate my request to adjust the meal for no fish and came up with alternative dishes. The private bath was great (albeit a bit too hot for a blistering 94 Fahrenheit day). If you are an early riser can even get the private bath before breakfast without reservation. Super close to Gora station. This was the second time staying here and would gladly do it again if I’m in the area. Aircon worked great on the hot day.

Clean rooms, delicious food, nice baths. Great service and wonderful people. Great area too, easy to get to from bus stop.

This was absolutely a wonderful experience. The staff were so courteous and friendly. The food was delicious. The onsen was a true delight. The room was extremely clean. As an American from the states, this was my first stay at a ryokan and the staff explained everything very well (there’s an informative pamphlet provided to you in your room). It’s super easy to get to once you get off the train in Gora (just take a right once you leave the station and go under the tunnel and the place will be up the street on the right). I so enjoyed this first time ryokan experience. I would definitely return to this establishment if I make it out to Hakone again!

This is a great traditional style inn. Our room was comfortable and the food was incredible. We stayed 2 nights and both nights itwas the Kaiseki style meal. Mainly fish with one meat course. The quality was excellent. Breakfast was a very good, Japanese style meal. We also took advantage of the private onsen, which could be reserved at the reception.
