Clean room and pool.
Whatever I needed was provided immediately, attention with my room and particular needs such as pillows, very friendly staff.

Disappointing and dangerous
The experience is bad from the moment you arrive; they don't even help you unload your suitcases, the room they gave us was dirty and the air conditioning wasn't working, the next day they moved us and at least we weren't suffering from the heat anymore. It is an old house but it could be a good concept, however, it leaves a lot to be desired. The only good thing is the pool, small but it is clean. The staff is friendly for the most part, with the exception of a girl with glasses.
And now comes the worst part, while I was at that hotel they called me pretending to be the hotel management saying that the police had found a stolen car outside the hotel and they were "screening" the guests, they put me through to the supposed commander who asked for personal information about my family, when I questioned if that was necessary the tone changed and he said he was part of organized crime and that I was going to get you know what, anyway, it was all a scam. The important thing is that they had data about my stay that only the hotel staff could have known and therefore leaked, a disappointing and dangerous experience.

Location is the the biggest plus for this property. Colonial architecture was delightful, staff was semi supportive but very stringent with the rules. Kitchen personnel was the most supportive. If you want to visit the center of Merida, this property has great walk ability factor. However, be aware that you may encounter some bugs throughout your stay. 1 or 2 nights max stay is ideal, anything more requires patience and resilience.

Don’t get me wrong, this hotel is pretty basic. What I loved about it was the location, the building itself, the pool go for a dip after a hot day of walking and most of all, the staff. Isabel at the front desk was wonderful. My compliments to Armando as well for his kindness. Housekeeping, maintenance, the breakfast chef… all the staff was very kind. Thanks for 2 great stays!

Hotel Ho is a very pretty hotel. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The pool was a super addition to my 3 night stay. Also, being able to have breakfast there at the hotel in the courtyard especially if you are headed out on an early excursion. Armando really stood out to me as a very pleasant, dedicated employee. Thanks for the great stay!
