Lovely little Riad in Marrakesh old town.
Lovely little Riad very central in Marrakesh’s old town. Reasonably priced. The entrance is underwhelming to say the least but once inside it was a delight. Plentiful local breakfast on the second floor terrace outside. The girl on reception was very friendly and helpful.

Oasis of calm of the Souks
Lovely Riad in the centre. Lovely, female staff were happy to book attractions & restaurants for us. Lovely breakfast on the roof terrace. So peaceful.

A place that remains in the heart
An intimate and quiet, comfortable and welcoming place where you feel at home. We were pampered and spoiled by the riad staff, all kind, helpful and cheerful women! You felt the connection, collaboration and mutual support that there can be in a community of women
Despite some of our times outside the rules of the riad (like dinner on the evening of arrival or early breakfast in the morning) Hakima, sweet girl, was always present to welcome us with a smile.
On the evening of 31/12 then they set up dinner in the patio with the fireplace on and the cook prepared excellent dishes (many small appetizers, a beef tangia and an orange chicken tajine that I will remember forever . Not to mention the desserts...)
Unfortunately I do not know the names of all to thank them individually so a thank you to all!

Arrogance and outstanding issues
It is not clear why this Riad has such a good score. The situation is excellent, it is true, near Jema El fnaa Square.
We had been given the dovecote room on the 3rd floor as a superior double. First it is not 20m2, as specified on the site, but rather 12. At the end of December, it is super cold, the heating is super noisy, and the bathroom is downright slimy. We asked to change, the Riad manager, arrogant, granted it to us “to please ourselves” arguing that this room was in high demand for its private terrace. In summer maybe, but in winter when it's 12 degrees outside? Very standard breakfast, not protein (all other places serve eggs), laughing cow cheese. Very noisy staff, the first morning we were next to the kitchen and we could barely talk so loud they were talking. Same afternoon we wanted to take a nap.
I wanted to pay local taxes in local currency, but the manager, again arrogant, told me that the Riad is in Morocco, but we pay in euros. Except that in all countries of the world, taxes for local authorities are paid locally. Even in Italy we get a receipt. Not in Anjar, which probably pays nothing to the authorities. Taxes rounded up of course. We are not in Arnakkech for nothing.
Finally, the last night of the Italian hosts made an incredible buccaneer at half past midnight, as if they were alone in the world, and no one came to ask them for calm, even if someone had fatally come to open them. All for a very high season price. There is a way to find better in Marrakech.

Riad in great location with great breakfasts
This was the first riad that we stayed in. The pros were a great location in the Medina, very friendly staff and great breakfasts The cons were a very small room that you could not lock, having no way to enter the Riad except knocking on the door every time and no shade provided on the rooftop. There was a very comfortable area on the ground floor for seating.
