Between Tromso and North Cape
We stayed at this campsite halfway between Tromso and North Cape.
The accommodations are really nice and clean, each cottage has its own car / motorcycle parking on the front.
Common areas (kitchen, toilets and showers) very well maintained and clean.
Bed linen and towels for a fee, at a cost of about € 8 per person

Great camping place especially for families
We had a nice time at Alta river camping! There was a warm welcome and service in our own language (finnish). We met a sweet camping dog too! The cabin was in grear condition and the facilities as well. I’m sure families favour this camping place, as it has plenty of activities and safe surroundings for children.

Nice cabin
We got one of the newer cabins which was clean and comfortable. The cottage had a stovetop, kettle and fridge. There was no running water or bathroom in the cabin. Shared kitchen, showers and toilets were a short distance away. The accommodation was affordable and good in every way.

Good campsite near the river, per
Nice cottage with two bedrooms, kitchen and living room. The hair dryer is very small (traveling) and the shower very clean. All very clean. Towels and sheets can be rented for 100NOK per person for the whole stay (in others we are charged the same per day). The owners weren't so kind to me but it must be a cultural issue. It is close to Alta Museum (10 min drive) and Garcia Lodge car park to go to the canyon. The sauna is paid separately and reserved (100NOK per person). There are two barbecues for grilling what you want that you do not need to reserve but you must bring firewood or buy it at reception (100NOK). On a negative rating I was disappointed that with the name of the campsite you can not enjoy the river as we would have done in Spain. I recommend it 100x100.

I do not understand the previous review...
I do not understand the previous review. The campsite is really old, not adapted to what is done today (no electricity for tents, closing of all services at 11pm, aure tents stuck between children's games and the caravan wastewater weir, vehicles park in the tent area, no rental of bike or fishing rod, no entertainment or contact with outside services except some unfortunate flyers, etc.).
Especially I didn't appreciate the Owner couple who don't smile, never ask if it's okay, and prove suspicious and sometimes aggressive.
Moreover it is 6km away from the city center.
The only strength of this campsite is that we have not too many choices in the area.
