Amazing ocean view and excellent service!!
Owner was accommodating qnd very friendly. Listen to the ocean qnd relax on their beautiful balconies or go for for dip in the sea. Great view and close to shops, restaurants and the Radisson blue. Will definitely return!!!

Lovely sea location, quaint but noisy rooms
If you are seeking an alternative to the big hotel chains of Radisson or Crowne Plaza in Sohar then Nhar is a decent option. Located right on the beach some 5km from the city's corniche, fish market and fort, you will be welcomed by the constant crashing of waves.
A family of 4, we booked the entire upper floor which includes two bedrooms, a terrace facing the sea with a swing, a children's pool and seating area. Old kitchen + TV with Netflix also available. The place was spacious and rather quaint - the living room came with a disco light and fogger!
There are a few modest supermarkets within walking distance so basic self-catering is possible.
Our major issue with Nhar was that we barely slept at night because of an ongoing mechanic noise that the owner later explained was the hotel's "water freshener system". So for the light sleepers among us, you may want to think twice before booking here. His laconic reply when we raised the issue also wasn't a bright example of good customer service. There might have been a language barrier but it was as if there was a lack of willingness to address the issue. So given we paid for the more luxurious rooms this wasn't really a great deal after all despite the joy of spending the night by the sea.

Ideal location for a nice rest
Nhar is a fanatic choice for a stay in Sohar. It is a beachside property and there are some rooms which have a sea view. It would be great to get one of these rooms.
The room is spotless clean and the amenities are very decent. The staff are very friendly and are always there to help. You can literally walk to the sea from the hotel.

Best view in Oman
Indescribable ... A room on the beach, with a balcony looking out over the sea. Fully equipped kitchen, bedrooms en-suite with large windows inviting in the sea view and gentle breeze every morning ... Falling asleep to the lull of the waves ... And affordable.
