Great central location at good price
Super accommodation, clean, comfortable. Excellent location next to historical centre. In easy reach of public transport and walking distance of most museums/visits. Lively area but quiet street (necessary road works being completed soon). Have seen some comments re homeless folk hanging out but during our stay (26-31 Jan) there was only the occasional person, and no problems, much like in other areas of the city.

This was a completely unacceptable experience. We arrived in Malaga with a confirmed, fully paid reservation and check-in scheduled for 3:00 PM, only to be left without accommodation in a foreign city.
From the very beginning there was no real contact from the property owner. He did not answer phone calls, did not respond to messages or emails, and there was no one available on site to assist us. We followed the instructions provided, but when we reached the key box there was no key inside, leaving us literally stranded outside the property with luggage.
We spent hours trying to resolve the situation and were left completely on our own for almost half of the first day of our trip, desperately trying to find any alternative accommodation in Malaga. During this time we were in huge stress and uncertainty, not knowing whether we would end up sleeping on the street or if anyone would actually help us.
There was absolutely no support from the property side. Only after a long delay did the owner send a message in Spanish stating there was a “technical issue” and shifting responsibility to lastminute.com to arrange alternative accommodation — which never happened.
The reality is that we were simply left without a place to stay, with no communication, no help, and no accountability. Phone calls were ignored, messages went unanswered, and there was zero effort to resolve the situation or even properly inform us in time.
This is an absolute scandal. Being left in a foreign city without accommodation after a confirmed booking, while the owner ignores all contact attempts, is completely unacceptable. It felt like the situation was simply not his problem at all.
We ended up wasting half of the day trying to find emergency accommodation on our own.
I would strongly advise against staying here. Do not trust this property and do not put yourself in a situation like this.

Indifference - robotisation
The management of the hotel is absolutely indifferent, no human attitude! They don’t care about the clients! My dad had an heart attack and was at point to die. It happened three days after the date when a free cancellation was possible. I asked to make a favour and to cancel due to force major. Do you know what they replied? It cannot be done due to the conditions of the reservation. And Agoda is not better: to avoid at any price! To avoid this hotel!!!! Only the robots, no care about clients, no human attitude. No-sole place. Absolute indifference.
