Much better than at home
In a wonderful place and a stone's throw from Santiago de Compostela and incredible towns, this fabulous haven of peace is located.
The rooms, the living room, the kitchen, the gardens, the barbecue, the pool... out of 10.

Best Night spent in Spain
After walking Portugues camino with friends over the summer, I can honestly say this was the best place we stayed in (even better than the Paradors)! Miguel and Dolores were the nicest people and their home was gorgeous. After picking us up in his Mercedes from the center of Padron, he gave us some delicious wine he made himself. Then Dolores fed us an incredibly delicious dinner, made with their home grown vegetables and herbs. It was heaven! Afterward, we sat outside in their backyard and just relaxed. It was like being at home. The next morning they fed us a feast before driving us back to town to start walking again to the next town. I wish we'd had more time here. Next time!

After a long cold and rainy day on the Camino, Manuel picked us up in town. This was a life saver as we were so wet and cold from the walk. Upon arrival there was a welcoming fire and coffee and cookies. We felt right at home. We were the only guest so we were able to enjoy the family room by the fire all evening. Dolores cooked us the most amazing meal. We can both say that it was the best meal we had on the Camino. They are wonderful hosts!! The only downside was the weather so we couldn't enjoy the beautiful courtyard but that just gives us a reason to return.

Camino Haven
Casa de Marcelo came recommended to us by Maria at Casa Loureiro. It was an amazing experience and a little bit of a haven from the Camino. After walking into the town of Padron, we were picked up by Manuel & taken to his glorious country home where it felt more like a spa than a stay on the Camino. The home & grounds are stunning and we were fed a feast!!! The next morning Manuel took us back to the town of Padrón feeling full and refreshed. As a bonus another Camino couple was also at the house and we enjoyed their company as well - would love to stay again! Thank you Manuel!

We highly recommend Casa de Marcelo. Don Manuel & Doña Dolores attention to details is impeccable. The house and rooms are clean and full of charm.
