Pilgrimage
Very well achieved the place for the activity we went to do. Nice service, clean, tidy. Easy to get to, close to all the important places in Sarria. I think it achieves its hostel goal for the pilgrim. Recommended.

Very impressed! Really clean room with ensuite and a fab view over the stream from room 103.
Everything you could need for a nights stay.
Room had a tv and complimentary water and the bathroom was equipped with a hairdryer and complimentary toiletries.

Excellent start of the Camino
Starting the Camino de Santiago from Sarria, we chose this B&B. The owner Xoel (I hope it's written like that), gave us a lot of information and advice on where to dine. He was very kind, offering a professional but at the same time friendly and informal welcome. The B&B is located next to the river, it is very nice, very clean and has an elevator. The room was very welcoming and the bathroom (en-suite) comfortable. There was no air conditioning but, despite the outside temperature reaching 36 degrees, we slept well. Excellent Wifi. Outside the B&B there are many bars and restaurants with terraces. At checkout, before starting the Camino, we had breakfast in the hotel opposite the B&B, we had 2 coffees and 2 tostadas with jamòn and we paid less than 5 euros. I recommend Il Malecòn to anyone going to Sarria for the location (the Camino starts from a point nearby), the location itself, the hospitality of the owner and the excellent quality/price ratio. A Perfect Start
We stayed at El Malecon the night before meeting our group and beginning the Camino. Our host’s son greeted us and made sure we were comfortable. We were very happy with the accommodations— a small kitchen with a cute table, a roomy bed, nice bathroom. The view out our window was of what appeared to be a small stream and park-like area. Restaurants were on the streets below us, but there was little noise from them. We were able to explore most of Sarria on foot the next day from this excellent location. The hotel even watched our luggage for several hours for us after we checked out and refused to take any money for doing so. What kind people, and what an excellent way to start our journey.
