Great Find
I booked this hostel solely on the basis of the info they provided on their website regarding transportation etc around the guianas. Travelling around these parts can be tricky so the info was invaluable. The hostel itself is an old dutch style building, room was clean and comfortable. There was a bit of noise at night but it is a hostel! And city central also. The staff are fantastic and helped me with transportation to/ from airport and also to albina. I was surprised how busy it was so plenty of people to mix with.

Run down
The great staff tries to balance everything that goes wrong: Rotten floor planks, ac that causes respiratory problems, a rat and bee plague, missing breakfast and shop ingredients, a neglected outside area... the list is long. The owner should finally invest and provide the materials for the renovation.

No running water. No shower.
There was no running water for my entire stay at Twenty4. I paid extra for a private room with my own private bathroom. When I paid for my room the staff knew there was no running water at Twenty4 but they didn’t tell me. They
still took full payment from me for a private room with no running water. I feel taken advantage of. I paid way too much to have no running water for almost 3 days.
The plumbing to the toilet in my room was always making a loud noise. The noise kept me awake. I think there was air in the pipes that was making a loud noise. There were lots of mosquitoes in the room.

Unsafe hostel
This is the worst hostel I’ve ever stayed in! Someone at the front desk gave another guest a key to my private room! Luckily I was there and fully dressed! This place is not safe and not well kept at all! Don’t stay here!

Nice and affordable place
Basic, confortable rooms with shared or private bathrooms. Large reception area with sitting area to watch TV, eat or simply chat. Place is located near the cathedral. There is a supermarket close by as well. Staff is friendly and helpful.
