Terrific affordable guest house in a superb location
Egg is conveniently located only 10 minute from the airport yet so close to central amenities such as Victoria Mall, Entebbe Craft Village and more. Yet the setting is incredibly tranquil, overlooking the botanical gardens, giving it a serenity you wouldn't imagine and offering the possibility of sighting incredible bird life and plenty of monkeys!
The guest house itself is clean and safe, with a fantastic breakfast and good wifi. The staff are kind and eager to help, and a pleasure to chat with. I fully recommend staying here.

Great place to stay
Egg Botanical View is the best place I've stayed in Entebbe. It is perfectly located, around a five minute walk to Victoria Mall and craft market, and a little further on is the beach with a range of restaurants serving local and international food. Situated next to the Botanical Gardens, the guesthouse is so peaceful with lovely views- we even spotted monkeys! Breakfast was delicious and so generous. Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate our needs. We were given a packed breakfast on the last day as we were leaving early, which we really appreciated. Definitely recommend!

Wonderful Staff, Great Location, Delicious Breakfast
My husband and I stayed at the Egg Botanical View recently. It is situated right next to the Botanical Gardens, which are beautiful and perfect for birding. The staff, especially Rachel, was very friendly and thoughtful. The breakfasts were filling and delicious. The room we stayed in was a little dated. A coat of bright paint on one of the walls, a power strip in the one outlet of the room, and a shelving or drawer unit would really help improve the room. I am not sure if they have WiFi. I did not see a network while I was there, but I also did not inquire about it (It was nice to be off the grid for a few days). Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider staying there again.

Right next to the botanical gardens
This is a small guesthouse offering basic accommodation. The small bedroom was facing towards the back. It had a large bed, mosquito net, fan and two chairs. The bathroom was small with shower in the middle of it. Free WiFi was provided. While the room is very basic the location is really nice, in a quiet neighborhood. It is 15 minutes drive from the airport - the hotel arranged our taxi for the drop off for 10 $. Five minutes walk take you to a small mall with a row of souvenir shops in front in case you need to do some shopping. The hotel's garden is right next to the botanical gardens. You can observe the birds flying above, some doing a quick stop in the hotel's garden. The entrance to the botanical garden is one minute's walk and entrance fee is only 3 $ - so it is perfect to go for a walk there - the gardens stretch down to the Victoria lake. While they don't cook food they have a menu of a nearby restaurant. You can make your pick and they call the restaurant to get the meal delivered so you can eat it at the hotel. The food was very good, was presented nicely (not some crappy paper plates) and arrived on time. We wanted to check out two hours later which was granted without fuss/charges.

Excellent
I had a great time in the Egg Botanical View.
The location is perfect: botanical garden, Victoria mall and airport are close.
The staff is very nice and it is easy to have nice discussions with them.
The breakfest is excellent. Its owner, who has lived for 25 years in the UK, prepares it himselfes in order to guarantee best hygiene.
The rooms are also very good. There are some things that don't work, for example the shower is not really warm, but this is Uganda and not the west!!!! When you are a volunteer worker, doctor, or whatever and you have normal expectations related to the country the egg botanical view is an excellent adress where you will be treated very friendly and you can stay on high standard. I will go here when I come back to Entebbe.
